The Troll Knows

The Troll Knows is a platform game for desktop browsers. Each level fits on a single screen, and the traps adapt to how you play: the game remembers where you jumped and stopped on earlier attempts and places traps accordingly.

Controls

• ← → or A D: move
• Space, ↑ or W: jump (hold to jump higher)
• X: use the current character's ability
• R: restart · P: pause · H: help · O: pop out

The goal of each level is to reach the exit door. Most traps give a short visual warning before they activate. Progress is saved automatically in your browser.

Worlds

• Paper: falling floors, spikes, falling ceilings and false blocks. Boss: The Stomp.
• Break Room: slippery floors and conveyor belts. Boss: The Barista.
• The Lab: gravity reverses for a few seconds at a time. Boss: The Aimer.

Additional worlds are in development.

Characters

Every level can be completed with the default character. Completing a world unlocks a random character for a limited time. Each character has one ability: double jump (The Intern), slow time (Coffee Addict), pass through one trap (The Ghoster), reveal armed traps (Reply-All) or an extra life (Overtime). Character time only counts down during play.

In Chrome and Edge, press O or select Pop out to play in a small window that stays above other applications.
